It gets so very messy whenever I try to write anything, inspired or required, when a phrase or tune gets stuck in my head, repeating itself endlessly in what I can only qualify as mocking torment. Coupled with the intoxicating Chinese/Japanese music that I’ve been hooked on lately - think persistent strands of principally foreign origin importunately lodged in the crevices of my mind (okay, so Mandarin isn’t supposed to be alien, but frankly…) - this symptom is surely one of those that drive people crazy and cause them to give their work short shrift.
But Christmas is coming; I just ordered a nifty new camera bag for 20% off from an e-retailer’s Thanksgiving sale, there’s that tempting threadless sale in anticipation of the holiday season, too. I’m predicting Christmas carols will soon supersede whatever’s occupying my mind right now, but I’d rather wait a while before they inexorably become ubiquitous in December, so enjoy another discernibly holiday-themed song for now:
